Some of our online payments including garden waste and licensing will be unavailable from 2pm Thursday 28 March until midday Tuesday 2 April due to essential maintenance.

Tell us if you spot a problem with a bollard on a road, pavement, path or cycleway.

This could be a bollard that:

  • is knocked over or missing
  • is not lighting up

You can upload a photo to help us.

If there is exposed wiring call us as soon as possible on 0145 4868000 (24 hours, 7 days a week).

How to report it

You can either do it:

  • by signing in or registering for a South Gloucestershire Council account
    or
  • as a guest – we will ask for your phone number and email address, but you do not have to give them

What happens next

We will attend a damaged illuminated bollard within 24 hours if it could be dangerous. We will fix it immediately where possible, or make it safe until we can fix it.

We aim to fix most bollard problems within 5 working days but some electrical problems can take longer, particularly if there is a fault with the electricity supply.

This is because underground cable faults can take time to locate and may need to be fixed by the power supplier.
