Our online services for planning, building control and licensing applications will be unavailable from 14 to 17 April. This is due to essential maintenance.

We will remove dead animals from roads and public open spaces to reduce risks to drivers, pedestrians and the environment.

We aim to have this completed by the next working day.

We cannot collect dead animals from private land or gardens.

Pets

If a cat or dog is found then we try to find identification on the pet, such as a name tags or microchip so that we can identify the owner.

Once the owner has been notified we will keep the animal for 24 hours to allow for collection of the body. If we are unable to identify an owner we will keep the pet for 48 hours where possible.
