Due to extreme heat our collection crews are prioritising food bins, black bins, green bins, hygiene and nappy waste bags. Collections may start before 7am so please put your bins and bags out the night before.

Moving into or out of a business property

You must let us know if you move into or out of a business property, or if the property you own is occupied or vacant. This is so we can correctly determine your business rates liability.

If you are a tenant, let us know when you have:

  • moved out of a property
  • taken on a new lease for a property

If you are a landlord, let us know when:

  • your tenant moves out of a property
  • you have a new tenant for a property
  • you have sold a property
  • you have purchased a property

You do not have to pay business rates if your property is empty for 3 months. Find out about current business rates relief and exemptions.
