School uniform reimbursement grant | BETA - South Gloucestershire Council

We are offering help towards the cost of essential school clothing, such as PE kits, shoes and coats, through the School Uniform Reimbursement Grant.

You can claim up to £50 spent on items for a primary school child and up to £80 for secondary, for a maximum of 3 children per household.

Items must be purchased between 1 June to 15 September 2024.

You cannot claim for stationery, bags, lunch boxes, or other non-clothing items.

The grant is available if all of these apply:

you live in South Gloucestershire
are struggling to pay bills or meet your monthly outgoings
have no other means of support through family, friends or donations

How to apply

Visit one of our One Stop Shops:

Kingswood One Stop Shop
Patchway One Stop Shop
Yate One Stop Shop

Bring along the shop receipts showing the item(s) bought and your bank statement (unless you paid in cash).

You will be asked to fill in a financial statement of your income and outgoings. Please make sure you have this information to hand.

If your claim is successful you will be repaid the approved amount in the form of a voucher you can use at a supermarket of your choice.
