Modifying the existing highway
When road changes are needed due to new developments being built an agreement may be entered into with us as set out under Section 278 of the Highways Act 1980.
Minor highway changes
For a simple vehicular access to a site or business, or to modify the highway for minor new developments it might be more appropriate to undertake works under a Section 184 licence.
The team can advise you of the most appropriate approach.
