Borrow, renew or reserve items from the library
You can borrow or hire a range of items when you visit our libraries, including books, Audiobooks, and DVDs.
You can borrow eBooks, eAudiobooks, digital magazines and newspapers from the LibrariesWest website.
Reserve items
You can reserve up to 20 items at a time online or at a library.
The LibrariesWest catalogue is available 24 hours, 7 days a week or you can use the free LibrariesWest app to reserve items and manage your library account.
Renew items
You can renew library items online, in person or by phone.
Renew online
You can renew items on the LibrariesWest website or by downloading the free app.
You will need your library card number and PIN to sign into your account. If you do not know your PIN you can reset it on the LibrariesWest website.
Renew at the library
Renew your items at the library during staffed hours. You can use the self-service kiosks during Open Access hours. Find your library’s opening hours.
Renew by phone
Renew your items by phoning our contact centre on 01454 868006 between 8.45am and 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8.45am to 4.30pm Fridays.
Return items
To return items out of hours some libraries have a dropbox or letterbox. You can check if your local library has this facility on the relevant library page.
Loan periods, charges and concessions
Joining the library is free but we charge for some items (some concessions are available). You also may have to pay for overdue loans. Check our Library charges page for more information.
Overdue charges are not applied to items borrowed on library accounts for under 18 year olds.
