Station Road is the historic high street in Yate. The town has grown considerably since the railway station first opened in the 1800s. There are many places to visit in Yate, such as Yate Heritage Centre where you can find out about Yate’s fascinating history.
You can find useful independent shops on Station Road and in Yate Shopping Centre.
The hidden gem of Eggshill Lane play area and the green space at Sunnyside Lane are also nearby.

We have awarded Help us Thrive grants to projects that benefit the high street, including Bike Station UK.
Working with Yate Town Council we have provided funding for benches and planting, as well as supporting local businesses to put on events, such as a Christmas trail for children.
