Check pest control charges
Charges apply for pest control treatment at your home. For businesses and commercial properties we also offer advisory visits, one-off treatments and regular inspections at competitive rates, which are available on request.
What we charge
The charges below are for the different pest control services.
Rats or mice
Treatment will be charged at £190.
Treatment includes a maximum of 3 visits. If further treatment is required, you will be advised that there will be an additional charge of £95 per visit.
You are entitled to a 50% discount on treatment for rats only if you are on certain benefits.
Wasps or hornets
During peak season:
- £126 for advisory visit and treatment of one nest (we do not offer an advisory visit only)
- additional nests treated during your visit will be charged at £63 per nest
Additional charges may apply outside of peak season. Variation in wasp seasons depends highly on weather and other factors and will be publicised at the time of the end of wasp season.
Wasp and hornet treatments include a revisit within 7 days if the nest has not been destroyed. Further treatments after 7 days will be charged at the full rate.
Fleas
£95 for survey visit only.
£343 an hour for treatment. If the treatment does not take a full hour then you will only be charged for part of the hour (for example half an hour would cost £171.50).
Cockroaches
£95 for survey visit only.
£297 an hour for treatment. If the treatment does not take a full hour then you will only be charged for part of the hour (for example half an hour would cost £148.50).
Bed bugs
£95 for survey visit only.
£343 an hour for treatment. If the treatment does not take a full hour then you will only be charged for part of the hour (for example half an hour would cost £171.50).
Cluster flies
£95 for survey visit only.
£344 an hour for treatment. If the treatment does not take a full hour then you will only be charged for part of the hour (for example half an hour would cost £172).
Other insects
Including: ants, carpet beetles and moths.
£95 for survey visit only.

Squirrels
£95 per advisory visit only.
£655 for up to two-week treatment.
Birds, moles or bees
£95 for advice only for bees.
We do not provide treatment for birds or moles.
Out of hours treatment
A pre-booked treatment out of normal office hours will be charged at an additional £95 an hour for each officer.
Benefits that give you a discount
A discount is only available to South Gloucestershire Council residents for pest control advice and treatment for rats. It does not apply for any other pests.
You are entitled to a 50% discount on treatment for rats if you are on any of the following benefits:
- Income Support
- Pension Credit Guarantee Credit
- Income-based Job Seeker’s Allowance
- Income-based Employment and Support Allowance
- Universal Credit and you are not working
