Car clubs and car sharing
Car clubs and car sharing can help reduce road congestion and improve air quality in your local area.
Car clubs
Car clubs give residents the convenience of access to a car without the ongoing expenses of ownership, such as insurance, maintenance and regular fuel costs.
It is a good option if you only need to use a car occasionally for short trips. Cars are available 24/7 and you can book them for as little as 15 minutes.
We have partnered with Enterprise to set up car clubs across South Gloucestershire. The cars have specific parking spaces for pick up and drop off at the following locations:
- Beaufort Park, BS10 7TE
- Brooklands Park Community Centre, Harry Stoke, BS34 8AZ
- Filton, BS34 7JL
- Lyde Green Park and Ride, BS16 7GG (2 cars)
- Staple Hill, BS16 5NL
Enterprise has also set up a car club at UWE Frenchay Campus, BS16 1QY.

Car sharing
Car sharing to school, work, or other leisure activities is another simple way to cut down on car use.
This can be arranged on a casual basis with friends, colleagues, or family members and will help you share the costs associated with driving and parking.
Join My Journey
Join My Journey is a free service that matches up people travelling to the same workplace or area. You can share journeys by car and also walking and cycling.
You can explore existing hubs or register to create one for your workplace.
