Due to essential maintenance some of our online services will be unavailable on Thursday 18 April from 5pm to 7pm.

The aim of this portal is to provide a centralised place for all health and wellbeing data and intelligence.

This will enable anyone working in health, social care, education or other public services to access information about the population of South Gloucestershire to ensure they can make evidence-informed decisions about service delivery, strategy and commissioning.

Who the portal is for

These resources are for anyone working with the population of South Gloucestershire, whether that is a strategic leader in health or social care who wants to prioritise resources where they might have most impact, someone delivering an NHS service who wants to understand how they might invest more in prevention, or local voluntary sector or charitable organisations who want to develop a new service.

The commissioning cycle

Using the population intelligence in this portal should support the cycle of continuous improvement.

Deep dive needs assessments

These are the more traditional JSNA products where in-depth information about a specific topic or population group is gathered and analysed.

This will include data about population need, community voice, available services or community assets and results in a gap analysis and recommendations for action.

These needs assessments will be conducted to support specific strategic or commissioning decision making and so will not always be available for all subjects.

You can contact us regarding future needs assessment using our feedback form.

Other data sources

There will be supporting links to other information, where relevant, such as national or local policy, strategy and guidance.
