Hanham High Street
Hanham is a suburb to the east of Bristol, and is famous for being the birthplace of comedian and actor Stephen Merchant and for being one of the first places in the UK to trial an eco-town, which was built on the former Hanham Hospital site.
Hanham High Street is well-connected, offering a range of independent shops, places to eat and drink, a community centre, youth club and a library.
The high street is within walking distance of pleasant parks and green spaces like Magpie Bottom Nature Reserve and Conham River Park.
There is a free car park and public toilets on Laburnum Road and Hanham is also served by regular buses. More local parking information including full addresses can be found on our car parks page.
Read about how we are working with the local community to improve the character and attractiveness of the street.
