Disposable nappy collections
We offer a free disposable nappy collection service to help families with children under 5 years old.
We will collect the nappies in separate bags every fortnight.
You must apply for this service to have the bags collected.
How to apply
You will need to sign in or create a South Gloucestershire Council account.
Alternatively you can:
- visit one of our One Stop Shops
- call us on 01454 868000
What happens next
After you have applied we will send you a confirmation email.
Once your application is approved you will be sent information on the delivery of the bags, when the service will start for you, and we will confirm your collection dates.
You can check when future collections are due using our collection dates look up.
We also have the South Gloucestershire Council app you can use to check your collection dates on your mobile or tablet. It can send notifications and reminders to help you keep track.
The service will automatically stop when your child is 5 years old. It can be extended at any point for additional children.
Please cancel the service when you no longer need it.
Reusable nappy scheme
Switching to reusable nappies, even part time, will help reduce your waste and save you money in the long term.
Our birth to potty kit (provided by Bambino Mio) contains everything you need to get started with reusable nappies.
We buy these in bulk so we can pass the savings on to you and help make the switch to reusable nappies as easy as possible.
Each Bambino Mio birth to potty kit costs £229.70 and contains:
- 15 all-in-one nappies in a variety of designs
- 50 biodegradable nappy liners
- 300g nappy cleanser
- 1 reusable wet nappy bag
- 1 nappy bucket
- 2 laundry bags
Our booster kits (provided by Bambino Mio) are a great way to make the switch to reusable nappies if you just want to use them part time or expand your existing kit.
Each booster kit costs £94.30 and contains:
- 6 all-in-one nappies in a variety of designs
- 50 biodegradable nappy liners
- 100g nappy cleanser
