Voluntary litter picking
Litter picking is great way to help clean up your neighbourhood and protect the environment.
Great British Spring Clean
Friday 17 March to Monday 3 April

Getting out and picking litter is an easy way to help the environment in your area. Litter can come from all sorts of places and harm pets, people and wildlife, and pollute our rivers.
Our street cleansing crews work hard all year round across South Gloucestershire but they cannot be everywhere. This is where you can come in.
You can help improve nature and the environment by arranging a litter picking event in your neighbourhood.
Find out how to get litter picking equipment from us below.
Borrow litter picking equipment
If you want to carry out regular litter picking or do it as part of a one off event, we can provide litter pickers, gloves and bag hoops free of charge.
To book the equipment:

Recycling litter
You can take the rubbish from your litter pick to your local recycling centre.
