Apply for or renew a garden waste subscription
You can subscribe for a fortnightly garden waste collection.
It costs £30 per green bin for a year’s subscription. This is reduced to £15 per green bin if you receive certain benefits (see below).
Before you start you will need
- a debit or credit card
- your National Insurance number to get a discount if you receive certain benefits
You will need to check if you have an existing garden waste subscription on our waste and recycling collection dates page before you apply or renew. If your subscription has expired it will say ‘No subscriptions found’ and you will need to apply rather than renew.
When you apply for a garden waste subscription for the first time or your existing subscription expired after 19 December 2019, you will need to create an online account. Set up a ‘Resident’ account by registering with your personal email address.Apply and pay for a garden waste subscription

We empty subscribed green bins once a fortnight on the same day as your black bin. Check your collection date.
If you are unable to put your bins out for collection, due to health or mobility reasons, you can request an assisted collection.
Your green bin must only contain household garden waste. Find out what you can put in your green bin.
If you have a garden waste subscription and your green bin is damaged or missing you can order a replacement free of charge.
