There are lots of fun activities for you and your children to enjoy at the library this half term holiday.

All activities are free drop-in sessions and suitable for children aged 4 and over unless otherwise stated. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

It does not matter if you have any late, lost or damaged children’s library books – you can still use your library and you will not have to pay any charges.

Summer of Socks creative workshop

Free, hands-on workshop that celebrates creativity and sustainability.
Led by professional textile artist Peg Squires, the workshop is about transforming the everyday into something unexpected. You will learn practical skills to reuse and reinvent worn-out socks into playful creations.

Expect a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere for ages 5 and over. No experience is needed.

Delivered in partnership with Can’t Sit Still as part of the Summer of Socks project. Funded by West of England Mayoral Combined Authority and Arts Council England.

Takeaway craft bags

You can pick up a free bag of craft materials to use at home if you cannot come along to one of the library sessions.

Bags will be available from all libraries except Marshfield and Stoke Gifford community libraries while stocks last.
