Our schools may have to close for safety reasons due to severe weather conditions or unexpected circumstances such as problems with school buildings.  

The decision to close is taken on a school-by-school basis.

The information is updated daily by schools from 6pm on the previous evening. 

Most schools also announce closures on their own websites, social media or SMS alert systems.
