Help with household bills

Details of the various grants and funds available to help with energy bills and other household costs.

Household Support Fund

The Household Support Fund (HSF) is money the government has given to local councils to help support those most in need as a result of high inflation rates and the significantly rising cost of living.

You do not have to be getting benefits to qualify for an HSF payment. But If you are getting benefits they will not be affected by it.

The funding is available until the end of March 2024. Find out more including how to apply on our Household Support Fund page.

Grants to help with energy bills

There are various grants available that can help with energy bills or getting home insulation installed. (Insulation can help keep your home cool in summer as well as warm in winter.)
