Community welcome spaces
We are working with local venues and organisations across South Gloucestershire to support a network of community welcome spaces.
These spaces offer a friendly welcome and are free to use. They are often located in a community centre or a town or village hall. Some offer hot drinks, activities and information on local financial support, energy saving tips and help with the cost of living.
Find a community welcome space
For details of your nearest community welcome space, you can use our information and services directory.
You can choose to show the results on a map and enter your postcode or location to refine the results.
Register as a community welcome space
If you have a community space and want to help, you can sign up to be included in the directory. This directory is managed through Well Aware, which is part of the local health and social care charity The Care Forum.
When signing up you will need to provide the following details:
- venue and address
- contact email
- website address (if you have one)
There is a space for you to add a brief description of your organisation and services, this is where you should enter:
- your opening times
- what you are offering – including a warm or cool space and free hot drinks
- information on any additional facilities or activities you plan to provide
