Community Conversations
Community Conversations is our new approach to the way we discuss, listen and respond to local people about the things that matter in your community.
We want to make it easy for you to talk to us about the things that matter to you.
It means:
- us getting out into our communities to talk to you in the places are already – shopping centres, libraries and high streets
- providing more in-person opportunities for residents to speak to council officers and elected members
- a new online consultation platform designed to improve the way we present the often complex and detailed information you need to know so that you can give us your informed feedback
We want to hear from local people about the things that matter to you and your community, including:
- strategic planning and development
- satisfaction with services
- changes to services
Like many councils we face difficult decisions about what levels of services remain affordable, and where we may need to introduce or increase charges for services. We want to understand how this could impact you.
Community conversations help us better understand local needs, concerns and priorities and, most importantly, make sure your voice is heard as part of decision-making.
