You must be registered to vote in elections – find out how to register to vote.
The last date you can register to vote in this Combined Authority Mayoral election is Friday 11 April 2025.

How to vote in person

You will need to prove your identity by showing photo ID to vote in person at a polling station.

Voters who do not have an accepted form of ID can apply for a Voter Authority Certificate on GOV.UK. The deadline to apply for a certificate is 5pm on Wednesday 23 April 2025.
