Contact centre
Our customer services contact centre will close from 1pm on Thursday 24 December. We will reopen on Wednesday 30 December.
On Wednesday 30 December and Thursday 31 December opening hours will be 8.45am – 5.00pm.
We will be closed on Friday 1 January. We will return to normal opening hours from Monday 4 January.
Please note: the adult care and children’s services (Access and Response) contact centre opening hours differ as follows: 8.30am – 5.00pm on 24 December and 8.30am – 5.00pm on 30 and 31 December.
When the offices are closed, calls will be diverted to a service which deals only with emergencies.

Social media
We are not able to respond to messages received via social media between 24 December and 4 January. To request a council service complete an online form or contact us by phone.
One Stop Shops
Our One Stop Shops will close from 1pm on Thursday 24 December. We will reopen on Wednesday 30 December.
On Wednesday 30 December opening hours will be 8.45am – 5.00pm, and on Thursday 31 December 8.45am – 4:30pm.
We will be closed on Friday 1 January. We will return to normal opening hours from Monday 4 January.

Online forms
Although we are closed over the Christmas period, you can continue to report problems or apply for services using our online forms and these will be dealt with on our return.
If you need to report an emergency when the office is closed, ring 01454 868009 and your call will be diverted to a service which deals with emergencies only.
Waste and recycling
Recycling centres
The Sort It recycling centres will be closed on 25, 26 December and 1 January. They are open as normal on the 27 to 31 December. Find a tip or recycling centre.

Waste and recycling collection changes

Business revenues, rates and grants team
The business revenues, rates and grants service will close from 24 December until 4 January. During this time you can email localsupportgrants@southglos.gov.uk and your query will be dealt with as soon as possible from 4 January.

One You South Gloucestershire
Our One You South Gloucestershire healthy lifestyles and wellbeing service will close from 1pm on Thursday 24 December until Monday 4 January.
