Care home support plan
Protecting everyone in South Gloucestershire is our highest priority, especially the most vulnerable. We are working closely with our adult social care teams and NHS partners to offer advice and support.
South Gloucestershire’s care home support plan sets out what we are currently doing, and what we plan to do, to support all our care homes and enable resilience across South Gloucestershire.
Ben Stokes, Chair of The South Gloucestershire Health & Wellbeing Board along with the Chief Executive Officer of our local Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) are both supportive of South Gloucestershire’s care home support plan and we are working closely with them to engage with our wider partner organisations to oversee the delivery of the plan.

There is a national assurance process for all councils’ Care Home Support Plans. The South Gloucestershire plan will be reviewed when our feedback is received.
For local policies and procedures in care homes, such as visiting arrangements contact the care home direct or contact your social care provider for further information.
The Government guidance for care homes is available to read on the GOV.UK website: Coronavirus (COVID-19): admission and care of people in care homes.
We have recently announced that we are able to pay our adult social care providers more during the current COVID-19 situation thanks to additional funding received from central government.
